Again. Bishop Miller and Malin Jordan the editor of BC Catholic, have permitted an offensive and hostile article to be published in BC Catholic
On March 14 2015 we again read an offensive article from C.S. MORRISSEY which was not the first time we wrote about him. What is even more disturbing is that Malin Jordan the editor of BC Catholic, when contacted, supported the actions of Chris Morrissey.
Chris Morrissey WAS a Professor at Redeemer Pacific College, which is a “Catholic University”, and should of been held to a higher standard when he writes in a Catholic Newspaper.
Remember. He was a professor and, a professor in a Catholic University. However. He had no problem writing this:
It’s truly pathetic when the purported followers of Christ lord their power over others. But how many Christians do you know who, in positions of authority, seize the opportunity to spend money wastefully on vain ideas, or to hire their incompetent friends?
As you can read he attacks and criticized all the Curia, as being guilty, rather than being specific. Remember, he is a professor who writes and reads daily, so he does have the intellectual ability to write clearly but choose not to.
Then a few sentences later the “scholar” Chris Morrissey writes
Surely it is a great scandal for Christians to give a religious veneer to Machiavellian behavior. Hiding in the shadows, they slander the just, and reward the undeserving. Then they publicly prance about piously as God’s great servants.
If you want to borrow my glasses, then you are welcome to. But I hope you do notice that he writes “Christians”?
What if I found a few corrupt professors and then stated:
Surely it is a great scandal for PROFESSORS to give a religious veneer to Machiavellian behavior. Hiding in the shadows, they slander the just, and reward the undeserving. Then they publicly prance about piously as God’s great servants.
Wouldn’t that be unjust to the good professors?
In addition. Chris Morrissey and the Malin Jordan are very aware of the Fallacy of composition (linked with anecdotal arguments) – coming to a conclusion about the whole when only truth about the part is known. So either they are ignorant, mean, or just plain reckless.
However. We wish that was all we had to report. But there is more. Chris Morrissey leaves no room for error when he writes in the BC Catholic this:
These authorities may fatuously congratulate themselves on their serpent-like wisdom.
To begin. I am not sure of everyone is aware that the word “fatuous” means “very foolish”. Is Chris jealous that he is not as “fatuous” as them?
Now lets move on to the next statement Chrissy made
There are many instances in history of unexpected developments and unforeseen outcomes. In retrospect, we can best appreciate them as illustrating the “ruin and bankruptcy” of unjustly entrenched policies of corrupt Christians
Let me repeat what this “professors” writes in a Catholic Newspaper in which Malin Jordan permits him to write: “policies of corrupt christians.”
By the way Chris and Malin. May I ask you a question? Is Chris a “Christian”? Could he be corrupt? Could he have a plank in his eye?
Lets now move on to the next statement the BC Catholic permitted Chris to write:
God’s providence is best discerned over the time span of entire lives and of entire generations, in which the vanity and folly of human beings, especially the most self-deluded of Christians, is inevitably exposed
Did Pope Francis call anyone “self-deluded” ? Or is now Chris just showing his rage and anger? Like most left-wingers and liberals do?
Of course Chris is self-deluded if he thought ending that article with a few kind words about Pope Francis protects him from the comments above. That is like adding a razor in an apple. I would not eat that apple. On the topic of “razors”: Chris fails to share with us “Hitchens’ Razor” – the burden of proof is on the person making the positive claim. Did Chris prove all those offensive accusations because of a few bad apples? Of did he prove, without a doubt, that it is time that C.S. MORRISSEY is no longer permitted to write for BC Catholic which is supposed to be a “Catholic Newspaper”
Please join us in contacting Bishop Miller, and Malin Jordan the editor of BC Catholic and demand an apology
